[He's late. But then again, being on time is never an angel's strong suit and Cas is ... busy. But by the time he arrives in that motel room, Dean is dead, and there's a girl he hasn't met, but he knows her name. She's part of the story too, after all.

But he appears there as though he was arriving to take them out to lunch.]

Hello, Savannah.

[Savannah is noticeably startled, popping up and whirling around to find the source of the voice. For a moment or two she's extremely terrified--until she realizes there is only one being this could be.

She pushes a few damp strands of hair from her cheeks and sniffles.]

Are you Castiel?

[toomuchheart]

[nods slowly as he makes his way closer, his head tipping experimentally to examine Dean's body, as though he's never seen it in this position before]

I am.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

You can bring him back, right?

[toomuchheart]

[nods again, stepping closer and pressing two fingers to his forehead. As soon as he does, Dean spazzes upwards, taking a sharp breath, one hand flailing out to grip the headboard while he looks around trying to orient himself.

When his eyes land on Cas, he gives him a look]

Took you long enough.

[Cas just sighs]

You need to be more careful.

[Dean just waves a hand to dismiss him]

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[Savannah goes back to clinging to Dean. She's always believed in resurrection, but she's not quite as used to it as the Winchesters are.]

[hasperkynipples]

[shifts with a small smile, sliding his arms around her and letting his lips rest against the top of her head]

See? Told you it'd work out.

[somewhere in the distraction, Cas flies back to Heaven to do what he do, but Dean's not going to notice that quiet yet]

I was so afraid you were wrong. But only for a second.

[hasperkynipples]

Only for a second, huh?

[gives her a playful nudge as he pulls back to look at her]

Have a little more faith in me next time.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[laughs a little]

I'll try.

[turns her head toward where Cas was standing, opening her mouth to say something, but he's not there anymore]

Where's Castiel?

[hasperkynipples]

[glances around as well before shrugging]

Yeah, he ... does that sometimes.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

I didn't get to thank him.

[hasperkynipples]

He's not one for thank yous, really. He's got bigger things to worry about.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

Do all angels dress like that?

[hasperkynipples]

No. That's his, uh -- vessel.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

Vessel? Like...he's inside someone?

[hasperkynipples]

[nods]

He's got the guy's permission, but yeah.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

...oh.

[Excuse her while she processes everything.]

[hasperkynipples]

[nods some more]

I know, he's a lot to deal with at first, but he's on our side. He's one of the good guys.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[shakes head]

I know. All of this--it's still really weird for me. It's a lot to take in.

[hasperkynipples]

I know. It was weird for me too. You'll get the hang of it eventually.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[sighs and lays her head against his shoulder]

I don't know what I'd do without you.

[hasperkynipples]

[slides an arm around her and keeps her close]

You're a smart kid. You'd be okay.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

I'd be alone.

[hasperkynipples]

But you'd be smarter about it than I was.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[looks up at him]

What do you mean?

[hasperkynipples]

[shakes his head]

Never mind. We better get out of here before they find the blood. I'll start cleaning up.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

Right. I should probably...change.

[hasperkynipples]

[nods]

Me too.

[time to clean up and roll out.]
