However, it does provide the opportunity for pretty lab partners which is the situation he finds himself in right now. There's SOMETHING about her, though. He's felt it since he walked in the room, and he knows enough about magic to know that something witchy was awry, but he's not going to give that away yet. For right now he's just going to make his way over to one of the lab tables and wait for his lab partner to join him.

[Bonnie hasn't come in contact with too many witches who aren't related to her, but she knows the sensation well enough. In all honesty, she's spent more time paying attention to it and him than the professor. She tries not to steal a glance or seven two in his direction, but it's a little difficult. He's cute and apparently magical.

Though the last time that happened...

The good news is they're lab partners now and she can figure out what he's all about very easily.

She joins him at his chosen table.]

So, um...do you know what we're supposed to be doing? I kinda wasn't paying attention.

I think we're supposed to be discussing osmosis.

It's possible to have a discussion about osmosis?

Personally, I find all of science really impractical, so I think it's impossible to have a discussion about any of it.

So we don't discuss it and say we did.

San Francisco, born and raised. I actually live in a house that's been passed down through the family for several generations.

Old house. [But very interesting.]

It is. But I like it.

I'm from Mystic Falls. It's this small town in Virgina. My family's been there for generations, but not the same house.

[eyebrows go up a bit at that. Mystic Falls. Welp.]

Really? Never heard of it.

[She kind of doesn't believe that, but she doesn't say anything.]

Is it one of those tiny little tourist towns?

I don't know about tourists, but it is a town that likes to celebrate its history. Lots of events.

Well, my mom used to own a night club, so when I was little, I got to hob knob with some interesting people. Though I was ... all of two, so I don't really remember.

But I do have the pictures.

My mom traded up. Started a restaurant.

[ And suddenly, they're not talking about the club anymore. They're talking about moms.

I was a cheerleader. Went to a lot of parties. Drank a lot of tequila.

[ She sees what you're doing there, sir, and it makes her smile. ]

I'm not sure you're ready for that conversation.
