[This bar isn't anywhere near Indiana. He's ... supposed to be heading to Indiana, but he's not there yet. He's not ready to be there yet. So he's sitting at the bar and having a beer and trying to pretend that the whole mess of is life isn't getting to him.

It's harder than it looks.

Another guy comes in and slides onto the stool a bit of a ways down from him, but other than that the bar was pretty much empty. Just the way he liked it.]

[he smirks a bit, settling on the stool next to her]

Never know. Friend could be in the bathroom or something.

I haven't made a lotta friends yet.

Well. Guess I should help you with that. I'm Nick.

[there's a pause. she doesn't have to think about it she's just a little slow on the draw]

I don't wanna talk about it.

[this calls for another drink]

[yeah, he's pushing, and Savannah doesn't wanna be pushed. she's not scared, she just doesn't wanna deal]

I'm just gonna go. It was nice talking to you!

[standing up now]

Now, hold on there, honey. No need to be pissy.

[reaches for her wrist as he talks]

[she tries to pull away from him] Le'go.

[hasperkynipples]

[his grip tightens and he pulls her closer]

I'm not done with you yet.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[now she's really trying to get away] Let go of me!

[that last exclamation gets Dean's attention, and he straightens from the stool he's sitting on]

Hey, asswipe. She said leave her alone.

[the guy turned on him, and all of the sudden there was a second set of teeth on top of the human ones]

I'd stay out of this, asswipe.

[he was probably expecting that to scare Dean off. Instead, it just made Dean roll his eyes and get to his feet, moving closer and letting one hand rest on the guy's wrist, while the other moved to the girl's waist]

If you want to keep your head? I'd let her go right now.

[kind of freaking out, but this other guy seems to at least have her best interest at heart. she holds onto his jacket with her free hand]

[the vamp eyes him for a moment, before letting go of her wrist. Dean gave him a thin smile, before glancing back at the girl as he started to pull her away]

Need a ride home, sweetheart?

[she doesn't answer, but instead clings to him, burying her face in his chest as she cries]

[his face softens a bit, as he wraps his arm around her more and starts to ease her towards the door]

C'mon. I'll take you home.

[positiveoutcomesonly]

[the word "home" breaks her heart, but she nods]

Okay.

[he slowly takes them outside to the Impala, sliding her into the passenger seat, before making his way around to the trunk. He knows his machete is there under the false bottom, and he doesn't trust that vamp not to come out and try to reclaim his dinner.

And to his credit, he's not wrong. He picks up the knife and makes his way around to the driver's side when the thing suddenly has him by the throat, and is tossing him across the hood of the car.]

[SCREAMING. All the screaming. She would get out of the car...but maybe it's better if she stays in.]

[it is better if she stays in. And Dean doesn't stay down long. He's up on his feet and ten minutes later, it's all over. The vamp's head is at his feet and he's ... covered in blood because that's how it works. It's annoying]
